David A. Edmonds, DPM
Dr. David A. Edmonds received his degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1989. He then completed a podiatric medicine residency in East Orange, NJ. His Hospital affiliation is with Sacred Heart Hospital. His specialty includes geriatrics, biomechanics, sports medicine and primary type foot care for all ages. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association, American Podiatric Medical Association, and Lehigh Valley Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr Maryann Hartzell is double board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and American Board of Wound Management. She is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Certified Wound Specialist. She received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine now known as Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in 1991. Her residency training was completed at Frankford Health Systems now known as Aria Health-Frankford in Philadelphia where she trained extensively in complex foot and ankle reconstruction.
Dr Hartzell is affiliated with St Luke's University Health Network and The Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network. She is a member of the physician team at the Wound Management Centers at St Luke's University Hospital Bethlehem and Allentown Campuses. Dr Hartzell enjoys treating a myriad of podiatric concerns from young children to older adults. She particularly welcomes the challenge of diabetic wound care and continues to stay on the forefront of advanced healing techniques for diabetic and peripheral vascular wounds. She is member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and a past President of the Lehigh Valley Podiatric Medical Association. She currently serves as an Executive Board Member of the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Megan Balliet completed her residency training in podiatric medicine and reconstructive and rearfoot surgery at St. Luke's University Health Network where she was Chief Resident during her final year. Dr. Balliet enjoys the challenge of treating a wide range of foot and ankle pathologies with both conservative and surgical measures. Areas of particular interest include diabetic foot care, advanced wound healing, sports related injuries, bunions, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, fractures, and dermatologic conditions of the foot and ankle.
With a background in public health, Dr. Balliet strongly values the importance of patient education and active collaboration with other healthcare specialties to produce positive outcomes for her patients. Through her affiliations with St. Luke's University Health Network, she provides inpatient podiatric services and educates residents and students in surgical skills and patient care.
Dr. Balliet is originally from Sylvan Beach, NY, a small town in Upstate New York. An avid runner, she was a four-year varsity letter-winner in both track and field, and cross country at Cornell University and has run several marathons including four Boston Marathons as a qualified participant. In her free time Dr. Balliet enjoys hiking and skiing with her husband and visiting her family in Colorado.
