David A. Edmonds, DPM
Dr. Edmonds is the owner and manager of Advanced Podiatry Associates, LLC, a practice well rooted in the Lehigh Valley for more than 80 years. Dr. Edmonds, through Advanced Podiatry Associates, provides superior quality podiatric foot care with the highest of standards, while striving to keep individual patient needs foremost. Born and raised in the Lehigh Valley, Dr. Edmonds graduated from the Southern Lehigh School District. He attended Moravian College and received his BS in Biology in 1985. He is a graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine ( Kent State ) and completed his residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, East Orange, NJ. Dr. Edmonds became board certified in 1998.
A believer in taking the best from the past, Dr. Edmonds provides attentive, compassionate and personal patient care: while combining the best of today’s education and state-of-the-art technology, as his reputation attests. His specialties include geriatrics, biomechanics, sports medicine, diabetic foot care and primary foot care for all ages. In his free time Dr. Edmonds enjoys working in his garden, cycling, and family time.
Megan S. Balliet, DPM, MPH
Dr. Megan Balliet completed her residency training in podiatric medicine and reconstructive and rearfoot surgery at St. Luke's University Health Network where she was Chief Resident during her final year. Dr. Balliet enjoys the challenge of treating a wide range of foot and ankle pathologies with both conservative and surgical measures. Areas of particular interest include diabetic foot care, advanced wound healing, sports-related injuries, bunions, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, fractures, and dermatologic conditions of the foot and ankle.
With a background in public health, Dr. Balliet strongly values the importance of patient education and active collaboration with other healthcare specialties to produce positive outcomes for her patients. Through her affiliations with St. Luke's University Health Network, she provides inpatient podiatric services and educates residents and students in surgical skills and patient care.
Dr. Balliet is originally from Sylvan Beach, NY, a small town in Upstate New York. An avid runner, she was a four-year varsity letter-winner in both track and field, and cross country at Cornell University and has run several marathons including four Boston Marathons as a qualified participant. In her free time, Dr. Balliet enjoys hiking and skiing with her husband and visiting her family in Colorado.
